Death of a Phoenix

There she goes again
Flying in the sky
The inferno's out now
She knows it's her time to die
Lived a long fiery life yeah
Without any other bird friends
So she is flying into the sun
To be with the fire again
It has been a lonely life for this Phoenix
Regular birds are afraid of fire
She never wanted to ignite
It was never her desire
Have you ever seen a Phoenix cry
The teardrops are bright red
Well they do not have to fear much longer
This phoenix will soon be dead
She just left planet earth
Now she is gliding through the cosmos
If she were a regular bird
This would be a place that she could not go
The sun is getting closer
So she turns and looks behind
Waves back at the other birds
Goodbye...
